Chapter 9: Is the dungeon storage is still not enough?
The production of the stone statue is going off smoothly.
And there seems to be no problem with my home expansion too. Alright.
I feel so fulfilled.
I feel more alive than I was in my previous life before.
I can do whatever I like, eat delicious food (stone) and sleep as much as I want.
It’s great to be free.
In my previous life, lazing around is nothing but a pipe dream.
That’s right. My dream paradise is in a different world.
The progress of my home.
As of now, I have dug up to 13 floors.
There’s no reason for the place to be so deep, but somehow it’s better to have a bigger house.
So I dig as much as I can.
Nowadays, I’m also committed to the interior.
To start with, I always placed a stone statue inside the room.
After all, a square room with only dirt wall is just tasteless.
I place the stone statue at the center of the room based on the size of it.
If the room is 5 meters in all direction, I put a human stone statue.
If it’s bigger, I put more than that.
Furthermore, recently, I found a glowing stone.
This place is truly a different world since this kind of stuff never exists in the previous world before.
Amazing. It’s as bright as LED.
Thanks to this, there’s finally light plugged into my home.
Initially, I can see perfectly even in the dark. But in spite of this, I still want light.
So, I was quite pleased when I found it.
Since it’s abundant in some layer, I placed it in each room during the renovation.
It will be the substitute for the light bulb.
I even made a small little adjustment to the stone statue.
I didn’t just place them, but also pose them as best as I could.
I pose it as if it’s brandishing the sword, and as for the dog, I make it looks threatening as if it was about to jump.
The gemstone in the eyes and claws really give that great look.
Especially the dragon stone statue, not just in the eyes but there’s also ruby inside the mouth of it.
The light from the glowing stone made the piece shone brightly as if it was burning.
Un. I did a good job.
Well, I’m the only one to see this anyway.
It’s a little bit lonely in here.
Eh?
Did I put the human statue in the next room?
I’m pretty sure it was the cat ornament there…
Whatever.
I might have changed it while I was renovating the other room.
Anyway, there are still a few renovations left needs to be done in my home.
By making use of knowledge from my previous life, I attempt to make wall art on the wall.
As the wall is made out of white bricks, with modern designed black-white tiles featured in every room, the interior decoration is similar to a fine dining restaurant.
I also add a gimmick to the room.
It’s the tiled wall. If you pushed a specific tile, the wall would rotate just like a flip door.
I went to great length making it.
Well, I’m the only one to use it though.
Even so, there’s nothing behind them.
Still, you see, the room behind the wall can be effectively used as a storage for the stone statue that didn’t fit in the room.
With storage room on each side of the rotating wall, filled with stone statues for the center, it’s perfect for when changing the interior of the room.
It’s a setup that improves the efficiency of redecorating.
With that’s done, should I extend my home today?
After digging up to the 13th floor, I think it’s enough already.
I mean, it’s too spacious.
How about I stop digging for today. For the first time in a while.
Mostly, the room was decorated from the 5th floor to the 10th floor.
The upper layer above is a crude, rugged bare ground that I made a long time ago.
I was thinking of redecorating the upper floor similar to the one on the middle floor, which is a firm stone room.
Although there’s no one for me to show, I think it’s crucial for it to look beautiful.
With that said, let’s go.
I’ve arrived at the first underground floor.
It’s been a while.
Somehow, the air feels cleaner than the deep floor.
Compared to before, I now clearly understand the structure of the earth wall.
It feels so embarrassing to look at this place. Maybe this is how the manga artist feels like when they look back at their old past works.
Ah, this stone sure brings back memories.
It’s a smooth, round stone that I used as a replacement for the calendar.
But I stop doing that after about a month.
Speaking of which, how long has it been since then?
Time is kinda vague when you’re living underground.
Now then, let’s head to the entrance first.
Hmm…?
I heard a rustle.
The rustling creature then lets out a shriek.
There’s something here.
But what is it?
By any chance, did the monster came here to attack?
Let’s slowly approach it.
After being away from it for so long, the sunlight stings my eyes.
Taking a close look at it.
That is….
Laying there was an injured animal, a giant ant to be exact.
