Chapter 209
◇◇◇
The day after Holy Knight Yamada conveys his resolve to the white girl Sena about confronting Hero Ryūgūin, he descends from the mountain and begins taking energetic action alongside his reliable companions.
◇◇◇
Omi, who visits Boldaf with Yamada, is like a free-spirited cat. She moves unpredictably – one moment she’s accompanying Yamada, the next she vanishes, only to suddenly reappear behind him saying things like 「Hmm, hmm, I see, I see.」 Her movements truly embody the phrase 「appearing and disappearing like magic.」
However, Yamada now holds her in such high regard and places such complete trust in her that when she disappears, he merely thinks 「Ah, she’s gone off somewhere, but she’s probably working for my sake」 and never deeply questions her actions. If necessary, she’ll tell him herself what she’s up to. While this might be considered somewhat blind faith, his judgment isn’t wrong.

On the day Yamada comes down from the mountain, the masked informant Anon receives a bow from him once again, as Yamada asks for help in the fight against the Hero.
Hurriedly telling Yamada to raise his head, Anon clearly states that he will help him.
Seeing Yamada’s expression brighten, Anon notices something different about him compared to before. Anon’s heart races at the sight of this determined man’s expression.
Suppressing these rising feelings, Anon proposes an idea he has been harboring for some time to Yamada. And beyond that…
◇◇◇
Sword Saint Eris hands over the Holy Sword – Guardian Sword Refaia – to her master, Yamada. This was done on instructions from Omi, who emanates a somewhat divine atmosphere. She explains that if Yamada responds to the nation’s summons, it will surely become his most important item.
Having heard that it had been helping her for a long time, she feels an indescribable loneliness in letting it go.
However, perhaps because she is still inexperienced, these feelings show on her face, and Yamada notices her emotions.
Just as she thinks 「Oh no,」 Yamada closes his eyes briefly before pulling something out of his magic bag.
「Take this instead.」
It is the white Magic Sword – Gram Copy – that Yamada had been using. Although Eris tries to decline, saying it’s too much to accept, she eventually takes it, overwhelmed by Yamada’s insistence.
From then on, she spends every free moment gazing at the Gram Copy.
「That creepy smile while staring at it is kind of disturbing.」
Mutters the white girl, watching Eris recuperating in the cabin with narrowed eyes.

Orphelia Verite learns from Yamada, whom she reveres as her Shifu, about his intention to participate in the nation’s upcoming summons. He explains what he intends to fight against and what is happening.
While the story seems incredibly far-fetched, she realizes it explains the sense of incongruity she had felt before. Though she hasn’t spent much time with him since their meeting, she believes that the intensity of their shared experiences matters more than the length of time. She instinctively knows that he isn’t the kind of person who would tell such worthless lies.
Although the Hero’s abilities remain unknown, if they are based on supernatural powers like mana, she thinks that she – and her Twin Swords Yin-Yang – might be able to help him. Orphelia feels frustrated about that day when Yamada protected everyone and was swallowed alone by the pitch-black darkness. That’s why she firmly resolves to definitely be of help to him this time.

The shrewd and cool-headed elf, Purume En Dynast, returns to her base in Greeneyes and busies herself with the aftermath of the incident.
From the day she returns to the city at top speed, she works tirelessly until things finally settle down, at which point she receives contact from Yamada, Omi, Anon, and the others in Boldaf.
While Purume herself has been asked to participate in the nation’s summons, it seems Yamada will be participating as well. She thinks this is only natural. She believes he is the one who should rightfully receive the honors.
However, their story doesn’t end there.
After hearing everything, Yamada asks for her power and wisdom. She nods before even considering it. This too is natural. When he spoke of the improbable story of having two sets of memories, he was the one who listened seriously. And he was also the one who saved her life from the Tri-Head Dragon.
First, Purume suggests they should call her daughter Angelica. Her daughter is a mage known as the wise one in town. Creating the lightning magic used in the Tri-Head Dragon battle must have required vast knowledge. In situations like this, the more people there are to contribute ideas, the better.
And so, Purume and Angelica engage in multiple discussions with them to help him. It is Purume who has the breakthrough. If there are items with abilities similar to That Thing he possesses, they would surely be able to help him.
She reveals this idea during their next discussion.
