I’ve finished reading 「Why the Black Knight Saves Her」 as recommended by [Princess Rose].
The content was so fascinating that I became completely absorbed in it. I’m embarrassed to admit that by the time I noticed, dawn had already broken. That day’s official duties were quite sleepy… ah, I seem to have gone off on a tangent.
I was troubled about where to begin with my praise, but upon careful consideration, every aspect of the work aligned perfectly with my tastes.
The story, centered on the romance between the Black Knight and Irene, really kept me on the edge of my seat. The characterization of both Irene and the Black Knight, who move freely throughout the narrative, was also excellent.
Particularly, yes, it’s impossible not to empathize with Irene. Everyone in this world sometimes finds themselves in impossible situations. Irene is no exception, and while she’s often pushed to her limits, she never gives up and desperately tries to find a way forward. I not only empathized with her positive, never-give-up attitude but also felt inspired by it.
And I love the situations too. The Black Knight, without revealing his identity, secretly helps Irene when she’s in trouble, and later Irene realizes, 「So that time I was able to escape from that predicament was because the Black Knight helped me…」 — ah, what a romantic scene! I can’t wait to read what happens next.
So, I’ve gone ahead and purchased all the volumes up to the latest release. I look forward to enjoying the continuation of the story along with this exchange diary.
Is this kind of entry alright? This is my first experience with an exchange diary, so I’m very nervous… While there may be areas where I fall short, please forgive any inadequacies.

From [Destiny Lover]:
I’ve already read 「Why the Black Knight Saves Her」 that [Princess Rose] recommended. I really like books. That’s why I read a lot of them and have quite a collection. This story happens to be one of the many in my collection.
「Why the Black Knight Saves Her」 is one of the finest stories I’ve read recently.
[The Crane Who Weaves for Eternity] concisely explained the good points of the story, and I largely agree.
Since it would be disappointing to leave my impression at just that, I’d like to talk a bit about my favorite character.
My favorite character is Sakuna, the Black Knight’s master. She’s someone who possesses such overwhelming power that everything would be resolved just by her appearance. However, for the sake of her disciples’ growth and various other reasons, she doesn’t actively intervene, only helping when the Black Knight and others are in genuine danger.
Some might think she’s cold, but I don’t think so.
After all, the fact that she always comes to help at the very last moment means she’s watching over them constantly. I think that’s what true love is.
Because it’s a book I’ve already read, looking at the story from a different angle, from Sakuna’s perspective, might lead to new discoveries.
That’s why I’ll save my book recommendation for next time. This time, I recommend both of you reread it. Please try reading it from Sakuna’s perspective.

To [The Crane Who Weaves for Eternity] and [Destiny Lover]:
I never dreamed that in my lifetime, I would have so many opportunities to share interests like this… Both of your impressions really resonated with me.
I completely agree with everything [The Crane Who Weaves for Eternity] said. Every situation in this work is perfect. Every scene, no matter how many times you read it, you can empathize with it and get excited about it… Actually, these days, I’ve been rolling around in bed reading pages from this work before sleeping.
Literally, without exaggeration… I really am rolling around… As I write this, I had an 「oh?」 moment—strangely enough, while I could never say out loud 「I’m rolling around in bed squealing,」 somehow I can write it so easily… What is this? It might be the kind of writing that’ll make me embarrassed when I read it tomorrow, but somehow it feels right because it’s fun.
[Destiny Lover]’s way of reading the story is novel to me. Taking another person’s perspective, considering that character’s feelings, reading deeply into the story, and reconstructing it… is this some kind of invention?
We can enjoy the stories we’ve already enjoyed once again. Being able to gain new insights by exchanging opinions with others—I think I’m having a truly wonderful experience right now. I hope we can continue to have various experiences through this exchange diary.
Please continue to treat me kindly.

「Well then…」
Ashley puts down her pen and closes the exchange diary. The luxuriously bound diary has some kind of pattern engraved on it, and she places it on what appears to be a magic circle template laid out in the corner of the room.
Tomorrow, the book will be delivered to the one who uses the pen name [The Crane Who Weaves for Eternity].
What will she write next—?
That day, Ashley lies down in bed with her heart full of anticipation.
◇◇◇
「Hey hey, what did you write?」
「It’s a secret.」
「How come I’m being left out when I’m the one who suggested this?」
「Ichiro, it can’t be helped. We can’t mix a man into a group of three women.」
「Even though I asked Chloa to create this transferable diary… *sniff*」
「Ichiro, don’t cry.」
The white girl hands Ichiro a piece of chocolate, saying 「Here, have this.」
「Isn’t this the one I just gave you… well, whatever.」
That’s right. The purpose of the reading exchange diary was to help them create good memories. They gained friends who could share their hobbies with them, and Sena definitely expanded her world. The plan was completely successful.
He accepts this reasoning and puts the chocolate in his mouth. The black morsel melts smoothly in his mouth, letting him taste its pleasant sweetness. And naturally, a smile spreads across his face.
