Chapter 15: The story of the brave hero and demon king is such an interesting template.
Recovering from the shock, I continue to eat.
Un, let’s eat.
Let just forget and eat.
Munch Munch Munch
As I keep eating, I now know where I am.
I don’t know when this ruin was built or if it still goes by the same name, but this place seems to be called the Eld Desert.
It appears that there’s Eld Mine on the north side of this place and a vast forest spreading out to the west.
Unfortunately, there’s no map.
Only the name appeared from the knowledge. There’s no information on topography and location of the place.
I did get some information about monsters and this area though.
Still, I need more than that.
The rest of the lithograph has a lot of letters.
I don’t know the content since there are no pictures.
Even so, the knowledge from the lithograph will instantly flow into me if I eat it.
There’s still a lot of illustrated lithograph left. Should I try changing the flavor a bit?
I wonder what’s written here.
I decided to eat the character-only lithograph, which was next to the monster lithograph.
Sniff Sniff
It smells good~
If the lithograph with illustration before is a meat dish, this one smells sweet like a fruit.
It’s refreshing.
This is perfect for a change of flavor.
Now then, let’s eat.
Among the character-only lithograph, I feast on the huge one.
Crunch. Munch Munch Munch
Gulp
Oh, the knowledge is flowing in.
Now, let’s see……..
Sacred Sword: Leviathan
How to use・Sealed location・Release conditions
Something amazing came out!
Afterward, I keep eating the character-only lithograph.
And something else came out too……..
Sacred Sword Leviathan, God-Killing Spear Gungnir, Treasured Sword Futsunomitama, Godly Shield Svǫl, Thunder Hammer Mjölnir, Trishula, Tathlam, and others……
Apparently, the lithograph next to monster picture book is about weapons. To be precise, details of sacred and legendary weapons.
Weapons with a dangerous name.
God-killing…….. I’m definitely not going to do so.
What was mainly written are how to use the weapon, the seal location, how to release the seal, power, magic consumption, and so on.
Honestly, I’m having a hard time believing the power and effect of these weapons.
What do you mean it can slash dimension?
What do you mean a swing can split the sea?
A single strike will turn a continent into ruin……
Oh, oof…….
Th-this world sure has a lot of dangerous weapons.
I guess that’s why most are completely sealed.
In such circumstances, the thing I concerned about is “magic”.
And the “magic stone”.
These two words came out pretty much in every weapon.
It seems like there’s an energy called magic in this world.
I wonder if it’s the same as electrical energy from my previous life.
Magic can likely display various effects of the weapons and can also be used by monsters………
It makes me realized again that this place is a fantasy world.
Damn it. If I knew it will turn out like this, I would’ve asked Hanada the new graduate to borrow his manga and anime.
『Senpai, if you were told to choose between elf or dark elf, you definitely have to pick the one with a delicious sandwich! 』I was told something like that as a joke.
I did nothing but work, so I know little about that kind of entertainment.
At best, I only know about fantasy from movies.
Next is the magic stone.
Who would’ve expected the gemstone that I ate is the magic stone.
As the name suggested, it’s a stone that contains magical power.
And it’s not the name of an entertainment agency.
A battery as you would like to say?
An energy source that activates tools, a battery so to speak.
That is a magic stone.
It seems that you can also make various magic tools by processing the magic stone itself.
A magic stone with good quality magic is likely to produce magic tools with better effect.
Incidentally, the stone statue that I make is also a magic tool.
Which is known as the golem.
It seems that the performance of the golem is based on the material of the stone and magic stone.
Ah, now I remembered, Ann did say something like that before.
I was not paying attention at that time. After all, Ann is an ant.
Now that I found information about the magic tool here, everything’s fine.
It sure is quite useful.
Let’s eat lithographs at the next place.
I continue moving slowly in a counter-clockwise direction.
Finally, I’ve covered half the dome. This spot seems to be good.
Here, instead of a lithograph, the characters were engraved on the mural and the ground itself.
The mural has a drawing of Shinto priest on it.
For some reason, the guy in the picture has a sword in his hand fighting against a mysterious looking guy.
The carving on the ground feels like a spectacular drawing of Nazca Lines.
It’s a drawing of a dragon.
With its six wings spread open, three necks, the dragon has a long body like a snake.
It somehow looks similar to the monster on the mural.
By any chance, I wonder if the mural here is about this monster.
Should I eat it?
Uh, still, it will not be easy to eat a wall.
I cut a lil’ bit the edge of the wall. From there, I scrape the part that’s hard to eat before.
Now then. Aahn.
Munch Munch Munch
Oh, it has different kind of bitter taste to it, isn’t it?
It tastes like black chocolate.
It’s an adult taste.
I don’t dislike it at all.
Gulp.
Uoh, here it comes, a lot of information is coming in….
『About the Demon King Argyll and the Brave Hero Cadias』
Eh, a story of a demon king and a hero?
Let see, I wonder what kind of story is it.
The knowledge flooding in is about the historic battle of demon king and hero of this world.
The 5-years sacred record.
This world’s human race, the continent “Faudo” was exposed to a threat.
From the being known as the demon.
Beings that have control over monsters.
High intelligence, advanced magic skill, and a bottomless pit of desire.
To make the human as their slaves, they wage war against the whole Faudo.
And a brave hero appeared—
Too long. Omitted.
The one who governs the demon is called the demon king. It’s a story of a brave hero, mankind strongest existence, standing up against it.
Long.
This story is way too long.
If this were a book, it’d easily exceed one million word counts.
That’s how long it is.
I wonder if I can understand this piece by piece.
It’s useful knowledge, but it’s tough to review later on.
Let’s read from memory when I have time.
It seems useful to kill time with it.
I was fortunate to know the origin of this world and all the history of human and demons.
Further, from the history flow, I was able to make a proper guess the topography and location of the continent.
Also, I’ve obtained information on demons.
Strength, characteristic, and where to find them.
But only roughly so.
Coming so far, there’s still a question left unanswered.
This lithograph or rather the ruin, who on earth made them?
I mean, everything here was buried this deep.
Either this is a human ruin, or it’s artificially made by the hand of some or a single human.
It’s an assumption based on the knowledge that I have consumed so far.
Not like I care who made it in the first place, though.
But I do feel thankful since I manage to learn a lot from it.
So far, about monsters, magic stone, weapons and the history of the brave hero and the demon king. And that’s only half of this place.
It got me thinking again that this dome is very huge.
Fu~u……………., I’m getting sleepy now that I’m full.
Should I rest here for today?
In that case, goodnight.
I fell asleep on the geoglyph of Demon King Argyll with the brave hero lithograph as my futon.
