I decided to expand my business further after discovering I could heal monsters.
There is something called a monster arena. Tamers there make monsters fight each other and compete for money. However, once a monster gets hurt, it takes quite a while to recover. They use potions and such, but if dealt fatal damage, the monster can’t participate in fights during that time.
So there is a limit to how much a single tamer can earn at the arena. Even with healing magic, it’s usually difficult to get their fighting strength back quickly. When a monster gets damaged in a fight, it’s a huge blow to the tamer. In cases like that, they have to prepare a new monster, which costs money.
But what if they use my healing magic? They could cut down on various costs.
So I went to the slave market. I’m not buying damaged slaves today.
I’m buying tamer slaves – slaves with the ability to tame monsters.
I decided to buy several of them. Slaves with abilities are expensive, but this is an advance investment. Can’t be helped.
The names of the slaves I bought are Jim, Cyrus, and Exis.
I’ll have them work as a tamer team. First, I’ll team them up with adventurer parties and have them tame promising monsters during quests.
Now we’re all set for the arena.
Then I’ll enter the tamed monsters in the arena fights. From now on, the arena fight money will come to me too.
Of course, I’ll give the slaves rewards as well. Like Domingo and the others, the tamer team will get 20% of the fight money as allowance. By the way, I cover their living expenses, monster feed, and such.
Once the arena started, profit came pouring in. Even if the monsters get hurt and come back, I can heal them right away. So they can participate in top condition again the next day.
By doing this, I don’t have to discard the monsters and can keep earning at the arena. On top of that, since it’s the same monsters gaining experience, they get stronger and stronger. As they get stronger, the fight money increases more and more.
Looks like my idea was right after all. With income from the arena now, my pockets grew even fatter!
