Chapter 12
In this world, magic exists as ubiquitously as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide.
It is the source of all energy, and its influence extends to the evolution of living beings. This force gives rise to the miracle known as magic.
Research is still ongoing as to why magic can be activated by this magical energy.
While it is a top-priority study, the information about magic remains elusive since it’s essentially a closely guarded secret passed down within certain families.
People from other worlds, including me, use magic based on a vague sense of intuition.
「Hmph.」
What kind of magic one can wield often depends on the lineage they were born into.
There are geniuses who can intuitively use their innate magic from birth, but such individuals are exceedingly rare.
「Blood, envelop me.」
In this unique realm, I possess three types of magic.
First, the blood magic that is inherent to vampires, a magic I understand instinctively, bypassing formal training or experience.
Secondly, the decay magic that I was born with, which decays whatever it touches.
Lastly, the general magic that I can somewhat use, gleaned from the experiences I’ve observed in video games.
These are the three.
「Expose to death.」
Being from the slums and possessing these three magics, I am honestly a glitch in the system. On top of that, utilizing the immortality of a vampire, and with my combat skills, I am among the elite in this world.
「AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!」
「…So noisy.」
I corrode the armor encasing my adversary with my rot magic, rendering it shapeless and useless. Then, with microscopic precision, I infuse their body with droplets of my blood, consuming them from the inside.
「Shh!!!」
Leveraging the swordsmanship I inherited from my previous life, I engage in close combat, slashing the giantkin’s bodies, forcing them to bleed profusely.
「…Gu, Gah.」
「These giants are annoyingly huge… Come on!」
The blood I injected into the male giantkin rages insatiably within him. I assume it’s tearing apart his organs and blood vessels, but he doesn’t seem as damaged as I would expect, even considering the external injuries I inflicted.
I’m sure I’ve caused quite a bit of trauma.
「AA, AAAAAAHHHH!」
The male giantkin, despite his injuries, continues to move frenziedly, swinging his arm down at me.
「Haah, finally.」
But even though giants are resilient, they don’t possess the regenerative abilities of vampires.
After thirty minutes of relentless attack, the male giantkin finally collapses.
